Dexter we lost you today and the silence in the house is deafening. You filled our home with laughter and love. The way you loved and protected your kids will forever be your legacy. You kept going and we didn't realize you were so sick with cancer. This week, you started going downhill and not eating. We hoped you just had a stomach bug and then today it was clear it was more serious. The size of the tumors inside you left us no choice. We held you as you slipped away and we are now heartbroken. Your boy did not want to leave your body behind but he knows you are up in heaven with Bubba and Leia, healthy again and driving them nuts like you did when all three of you were here at home. We will never forget you and we will never stop loving you. We know you will somehow find your way back to us and we will welcome you with open arms. We love you and miss you Dexter, so much!
