Mystery
Unknown - February 17, 2007

Mystery showed up in my back yard one cold day with one front leg swollen to almost twice its normal size.

After a trip to the vet and treatment for an infected animal bite, Mystery became part of the household.

I always felt so sorry for Mystery. No matter how hard I tried, it was as if he didn't feel that he belonged . . . that he didn't deserve a good home.

As he got older, I made sure he got special canned food, I gave him extra treats, I tried to spend more time with him, but he always looked so sad. He was grateful for a home, but it was as if he had been so mistreated for so long that he couldn't accept being loved.

He died in his sleep in February 2007. I hope that in God's house he feels wanted and special, and that he can finally find peace.
